I like the concept of it, and really support the people behind it. This is the real reason I’m excited for this project, so I will be playing Twilight Princess with the new texture pack. Strangely enough, I prefer its gameplay and storyline to that of, say, Spirit Tracks, but I would still rather play Spirit Tracks any day! I can contribute my feelings towards these games to many things, but in the end, it all comes down to colour.

In fact, I don’t feel good when I play Twilight Princess. I’m going to come right out and say I don’t like Twilight Princess nearly as much as most people seem to, or as much as my friends seem to, and especially not as much as IGN seems to. The Zelda series isn’t meant to be so dim! Where are those bright greens and reds we’ve all come to expect from these games? This texture pack was obviously created by and for these fans the ones who miss mysticism. For instance, some would say that Twilight Princess is atypical in the wrong way. While I believe there is a good amount of merit behind this argument, there are equally valid ones on the other end of the spectrum. It simply fit together well: black on black. Along with Majora’s Mask, Twilight Princess is definitely the creepiest game in the series, and its seriousness was only intensified by its slightly aphotic graphics.

The creator has already received a good amount of criticism, mostly having to do with the game’s storyline not fitting well with such a bright setting, due to its rather dark nature. We must consider that Twilight Princess is a massive game to work with, so I wouldn’t expect it any time in the very near future. Of course with that vague “Coming Eventually” at the end of the video, we currently have no idea when the project will be finished.
